Puyo Pop for the Neo Geo Pocket Color is a head-to-head puzzle game where players match four or more same-colored, bouncy globules called "Puyos" to make them pop, clearing their grid. When Puyos are cleared, they send "filler" Puyos to the opponent's grid, creating a competitive element where the goal is to completely fill the opponent's grid. The game features single-player story mode with item delivery, two-player battles, and the ability to link up with another player using the Neo Geo Pocket Link Cable.
