Eternal Ring is a first-person action RPG for the PlayStation 2, released in 2000 as a launch title. Players control the magician Cain Morgan, who explores the mysterious "Island of No Return" to find the legendary Eternal Ring. A core gameplay mechanic is the creation of magic rings by imbuing elemental gems found on the island with other gems, which can cast spells or boost attributes. The game features six elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, and Darkness.
